Artificial intelligence and EdTech are the focus of this year's Innovators' Pitch.
Producing a transcript from conversation notes, generating images based on a short description or correcting and optimising your coding - artificial intelligence has moved into the focus of public attention this year thanks to generative AI like ChatGPT. In the last few months, we have seen huge leaps in development and use cases - and we are excited to see what else is in store.
At the same time, teaching in many schools in this country still goes on as it did 30 years ago - with heavy textbooks in the bag, copied assignment sheets and, above all, analogue. But this must change! We must use the potential of digitalization for learning, teach important skills for the future and promote self-determination in a digitized world.
Many startups around the world are developing competitive solutions based on AI and have innovative ideas for digital educational offerings - and they can apply from today for the 15th Innovators' Pitch, which will take place in the two categories Artificial Intelligence and EdTech as part of the hub.berlin business festival on 28 June 2023 at Station Berlin. "With this year's Innovators' Pitch, we want to help startups gain more visibility that are at the forefront of the crucial future topics of artificial intelligence and digital education with their ideas and solutions," says Daniel Breitinger, Head of Startups at the digital association Bitkom. " hub.berlin is the perfect place to bring startups together with small, larger and internationally active companies."
Early stage startups can submit their ideas, prototypes and products until 31 May, and the finalists will pitch their ideas in front of the hub.berlin audience and a jury of experts. There is prize money of 10,000 euros per category and a free Get Started membership. The Innovators' Pitch is organized by Get Started, the Bitkom startup initiative, with the support of the Vodafone Stiftung Deutschland (EdTech) and Fiverr (AI).
The application form and all details about the competition are available at innovatorspitch.com. The finalists' pitch and the award ceremony will take place on the first day of hub.berlin at Station Berlin. All information about the hub.berlin programme and the opportunity for startups to apply for free tickets is available here.
