Product-Neutral Tendering of Notebooks

The aim of this guideline is to provide public contracting authorities at federal, state and local level with a reliable and comprehensible aid to enable them to formulate their tenders for the procurement of notebooks in a product-neutral manner, i.e. without using protected brand names or naming specific manufacturers and taking into account current technical requirements. The guide is the result of the notebooks working group of Bitkom's expert committee for product-neutral tenders.

The focus of this guide is the listing of technical criteria that can be used to describe and compare the notebooks themselves as well as the requirements for their operating environment and other features. Own technical considerations and weightings must be made according to one's own needs.
