Dr Frank Termer is Head of Software at Bitkom e.V. After studying business informatics at Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, he worked as an IT consultant from 2006 and carried out projects in business process and IT service management. He primarily looked after companies in the energy industry, financial services and public administration. From 2010 he worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Ilmenau in the field of business informatics for services. There he focused his research on questions of strategic IT management. During this activity, numerous publications were created on the topics of IT agility, enterprise architecture management, business process management and business-IT alignment. He did his doctorate on the topic "Determinants of IT agility". Since 2015 he has been responsible for the committees of the software competence area at Bitkom e.V. He designs, organizes and moderates committee events, is responsible for the thematic development of these committees and their positioning within and outside Bitkom.
