Currently, numerous discussions are taking place about the design of the German data institute. Bitkom welcomes the creation of a data institute. It is now important to set the right course in order to quickly and purposefully support the use and provision of open data with the establishment of this new unit and thus to spur the digital transformation. To this end, Bitkom has developed 7 principles on the tasks, orientation and design of the German data institute.
