The ICT market is affected by heavy global competition. At the same time, political responsibility is being transferred from the national to the European level. BITKOM supports the German ICT industry as it enters new foreign markets and voices its interests at both EU and global levels. Customs and foreign trade issues are addressed by the Working Group on Customs and Foreign Trade as well as the Working Group on Export Control.

BITKOM Office in Brussels

The office in Brussels coordinates the international political activities of BITKOM and its member companies. The positions of the industry are placed to the European Commission as early as possible.

BITKOM also represents the interests of the ICT companies on a European level through EICTA, the central association for ICT and consumer electronics in Europe.

Foreign Trade Shows

BITKOM cooperates with the Federal Ministry for Economics and Labour to offer affordable booths for German businesses during trade shows in foreign countries.
